Preschool Parents,
This week I have been teaching and reviewing colors! One night this week, please assist your child in commenting about his or her favorite color. Please include (a) your child's favorite color, (b) one reason why it is his or her favorite color, and (c) three items that are that color.
For example:
a) yellow
b) It makes me think of sunshine
c) sunshine, banana, lemon
Have a great week!

ooooh, color is my favorite thing to teach, as well as my personal favorite element of art!
ReplyDeleteok, so I really asked my four-year-old daughter and this was her response (which is not surprising). She loves colors to
a) Pink
b) because it's really pretty
c) her shoes, a marker, and a piece of her art paper
Thanks, she enjoyed helping me with my schoolwork :)
Awesome! Tell her that I'm sure her pink shoes are very pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoying teaching color. I had my first opportunity with this last school year in my kindergarten room and we talk about it all day long. I asked my nephew his favorite color and he responded:
ReplyDeletea) Blue
b) because I like it
c) Thomas (the train), my shirt, my blanket
This would be a cute activity for parents to do at home with their child in the middle of your lesson. It's a great way to bring the discussion home.
Such a cute idea to connect home and school lessons! My son is only one, so I chose the answers for him.
ReplyDeletea)Green
b)It is the color of my son's room.
c)frogs,alligators,toy box
Erin- I agree that simple activities like this are easy and beneficial for families to do at home together! I always love the answer "because I like it." :)
ReplyDeleteCasie- Green is my favorite color as well! Tell your son thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure color is fun to learn about and teach. I asked my 6-year-old nephew A.J. his favorite color. Here are his responses:
ReplyDeletea)blue
b)Blue reminds him of water and he loves to swim.
c)water, the sky, his bedroom walls
Awesome! It seems like he loves nature!
